The Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom is located two rooms away from the Muggle Studies classroom. It is a rather large classroom due to the fact that most of your lessons will include using magical defense spells. Desks are lined in rows, but only when it's a day when the students are required to do book work and after that the desks are magiced away to make room for practicing spells.

A blackboard sits in the front of the class through which Binns enters and exits the room. There are a few windows that let light into the room, but they all have thick glass and a narrow ledge. Just up the corridor from Binns' classroom, in the direction of the marble staircase, is a window with a view of the Game Keeper's cabin. It isn't really a favorite class of many since Binn causes the students to feel drowsy and even the students who always make perfect grades have trouble staying awake.

Take a corridor from the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom to the nearest flight of stairs leading down; McGonagall's door is on the left on the first floor. Her office has a fireplace with a mantelpiece, and the entrance is evidently within easy walking distance of Myrtle's bathroom. At least one of her windows overlooks the Quidditch pitch and some of the corridors along the route from her office to the entrance to Gryffindor Tower have windows overlooking Hagrid's cabin.

The Hospital Wing is where the ill are sent to rest. It also serves as Madam Pomfrey's office. Inside, there are lots and lots of beds with white sheets and privacy screens that are drawn when the patient doesn't want to be bothered.
