Character Application

If you would like to have a canon character please first check this topic right here.

Before choosing the age of your (original) character, please check out the character list as a reference. We don't want you to choose a year that you can't have, it just prevents unneeded stress if you look before hand. :]

Whether or not you’re creating an original or a canon character, you must start a NEW TOPIC for him/her and post all of his/her information using this template:

Name: Your character's full name, including middle name.
Nickname: What does your character like to be called?
Gender: ONLY male or female
Age: How old is your character? Be realistic, no thirty year old students.
Year: What year is your character in? Be realistic to the age of your character. You can't be a seventh year thats thirteen.
House: What house does your character belong to.
Custom Title: What do you want to have your custom title say? It may be left blank if you wish... It can also be colored, but only one color.

Personality: Give a detailed description of your character's personality. The house you will be sorted into will depend greatly on this portion of your character bio. Please remember that we don't like it when a member purposely makes their character brave, just so they'd be placed in Gryffindor. If we see that your character is described for only one house, then we will most likely place them in another. Keep in mind that because Slytherin's personalities are so distinct, we don't hold this rule for you if you want a Slytherin character. You may use Slytherin traits if you wish. At LEAST TWO paragraph (six LONG sentences in each) please.

Picture: Please supply us with a picture of your character. You can use a Actor, Actress, Model, or some random person. If you need help, just ask.
Celebrity: If you are using a celebrity, please supply us with their name. But also don't forget to claim them in the celebrity claim.
Appearance: Avatars are good, but detail is even better. How do they dress when not in school robes? Are they tall or are they short? Hair color, eye color, body build, anything… You may include a picture with a description of their appearance. (Atleast TWO paragraphs with 6 LONG sentences each)

Family: Parents? Siblings? Cousins?
History: What happened to your character in the past? How did their past make them who they are today? What kind of family do they have and what is their home life like? At LEAST TWO paragraph (six LONG sentences each) please.

Pets: ONLY owl, cat, toad, or rat (Anything else will have to be approved by an admin.
Wand: Type of wood, wand length, and core. Wand cores can ONLY be phoenix feather, dragon heartstring, or unicorn hair, as all wands should be from Ollivanders’.
Blood: It's important in the wizarding world. Pureblood, half-blood, or Muggle-born?
Other characters: This is primarily for all the older members on this board, just so we can check that you meet all the requirements for creating a new character. If you're a newbie, just go ahead and fill it out with "none" or "newbie."

Sample Roleplay: Give us a little taste of how you will be roleplay on the site. It doesn't have to be a post of your character, it can be from another site.

Rules on bios...EVERYONE MUST READ THIS SECTION BEFORE PROCEEDING

-No characters who are oddly related to canon characters (i.e. James’ sister, Voldemort’s child)
-No vampires, werewolves, veelas, or any other magical being besides a normal witch/wizard
-I would very much like it if your History isn't overly dramatic. The usual family problems and such are okay, but if you have a prostitute mother, a murderous father, etc. then that is going a bit overboard.
-Your character cannot have parents or other family members who are Death Eaters, as Voldemort was just just just beginning to gain power.

Once you've posted your bio, you must BE APPROVED BY AN ADMIN/MOD before you can start posting in character. If an admin makes a comment on how you could improve your character don't argue, please just make the changes and then post when it's edited.

AN ADMIN/MOD'S DECISION CONCERNING SORTING IS FINAL. PLEASE DO NOT QUESTION AN ADMIN/MOD'S CHOICE.
